About this module
Sometimes stress becomes a crisis: a situation in which a person's thoughts, feelings or actions put them at risk of harm, and their usual coping no longer works. This module gives you the knowledge and confidence to act. You will learn the scale of suicide in India, the warning signs to watch for, and exactly what to do and what not to do when someone is at risk, using the case of Ajay. You will learn how to use Tele-MANAS (14416), when to go to an emergency department, the protections of the Mental Healthcare Act 2017 in a crisis, and how a safety plan supports recovery. This module discusses suicide. Please take care of yourself while studying it.
